Docs / Supported networks and coins

Which blockchains and coins does PayRam support?

"Supported" covers three cases: customers sending coins directly, paying from another chain through a bridge, and paying by card. This guide lists each from the official docs and shows what we currently offer.

The short version: PayRam officially supports the main coins on five chains: Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Tron and Bitcoin. It also supports paying from Solana through a bridge and paying by card. PayRamHost currently offers Ethereum, Base and Polygon, with Tron and Bitcoin planned. What you can actually use is shown in your merchant dashboard.

1. Way 1: customers send coins directly

The customer sends coins straight to the deposit address the system generated. The networks and coins listed in the official documentation:

NetworkCoinsPayRamHost
EthereumETH, USDC, USDT, PYUSD, cbBTCSupported
BaseETH, USDC, cbBTCSupported
PolygonPOL, USDC, USDTSupported
TronTRX, USDTPlanned
BitcoinBTCPlanned

A coin appears on the payment page only after two steps: you enable it in the project and you deploy the deposit wallet for that chain. A network you have not deployed is not shown to customers.

2. By coin: which chains each coin works on

CoinSymbolNetworks officially supported
BitcoinBTCBitcoin
EthereumETHEthereum, Base
TetherUSDTEthereum, Tron, Polygon
USD CoinUSDCEthereum, Base, Polygon
TronTRXTron
Coinbase Wrapped BitcoincbBTCEthereum, Base
PolygonPOLPolygon
PayPal USDPYUSDEthereum

To decide between the two main stablecoins, see USDT or USDC.

3. Way 2: pay from Solana through a bridge

The official documentation says customers can also pay on Solana in USDC, USDT, PYUSD or SOL. PayRam converts the payment through a bridge and you receive USDC on Base at your normal deposit address.

  • Nothing extra to configure, and no Solana wallet, node or deposit address is involved.
  • It is offered on mainnet only, and only when your project accepts USDC on Base.

Whether PayRamHost offers this for your project is shown by the options that actually appear on your payment page.

4. Way 3: pay by card

Customers without crypto can pay by card, wallet or bank transfer and you still receive stablecoins. The official documentation lists three methods, each enabled separately and settling on different chains:

MethodYou receive onCoins
PayRam WalletBaseUSDC, ETH
ChangellyEthereumUSDC, ETH
WertEthereumETH, USDC, USDT
BaseETH, USDC
PolygonUSDC, USDT, POL

The card channel runs on mainnet. On testnet, stablecoin purchases cannot be completed. For the full explanation see the card-to-crypto channel explained.

5. What PayRamHost offers today

  • Available: Ethereum, Base and Polygon. They belong to the same EVM family and share one deposit address.
  • Planned: Tron (TRX, USDT) and Bitcoin. This page and the home page will be updated when they open.
  • The dashboard decides: what you can actually receive depends on what your project has enabled and which chains you have deployed wallets on.

The official roadmap also mentions TON, with networks such as Arbitrum and Optimism under review. None of these are available today.

6. Networks supported for payouts

The networks and coins supported for payouts (refunds, for instance) are not identical to those for receiving. The official documentation lists:

NetworkCoins
EthereumETH, USDC, USDT, PYUSD, cbBTC
BaseETH, USDC, cbBTC
PolygonPOL, USDC, USDT
TronTRX, USDT
BitcoinPayouts not supported

In other words, Bitcoin can be received but PayRam cannot send Bitcoin payouts. For the refund process see refunds and payouts.

7. FAQ

Can a customer choose any coin and chain?

Only the coins and networks you have enabled. You can also narrow the choice to one with currency and network when creating a payment. See the API integration guide.

Why do Ethereum, Base and Polygon share one address?

Because they belong to the same EVM family. According to the official documentation, a user's deposit address is permanent within the same blockchain family, so the chains of the EVM family share one address.

How do I check what I can receive right now?

Create a test payment in the dashboard and open the payment page. The coins and networks listed under "Pay with crypto" are what you can receive today.
